IQ and the Knowledge Class

ABSTRACT:
The probability of membership in an intellectual elite profession or group increases to an D15IQ of about 132 and then begins to fall. By 140 it has fallen by about 45% and by 150 it has fallen by about 95%. This means that there are about 1,000,000 people in Western civilization who are being excluded from participating in the most intellectually challenging activities, paradoxically, because they are too smart. The reasons for this are not related to any pervasive failing within the population but rather are due to inappropriate educational and productive environments.

These impediments, that were so intractable in the Industrial Age, yield to the forces of the emerging global Information Age civilization. This inappropriately excluded population will comprise a significant percentage of the upper levels of the Knowledge Class. As creatives, entrepreneurs, investors, technologists and intellectuals, they will find proper fulfillment within the Enterprise Networks.
